Malaika Kids - our latest charity

For this year's Lent charity, we have chosen to support the orphans at the Malaika Kid's Village in Tanzania.

This charity helps children who do not have any parents and they live in a village that has been specially built for them. The only problem is that they do not have a school in the village so have to walk five kilometres to get to school.

We are going to go on a sponsored walk to Hyde Park and back which is approximately five kilometres in total. We are also going give up something that we really like (Ms. Woodford is giving up Mars Bars!) and then saving that money to give to the Malaika children.

The money we raise is going be used to buy paints, crayons, pencils, books and toys for the After School Club at the village.
